[Solved] Blu-ray Player Won't Play Blu-ray Discs

It's really annoying that your Blu-ray player won't play Blu-ray discs correctly, and you can't figure out what's the matter. In general, there're many reasons can cause this problem, some are related to the Blu-ray Player, some are related to the Blu-ray disc, some are related to the firmware and so on. Don't worry, we'll share some solid solutions to solve your Blu-ray and Blu-ray player playback issues in this article. Read on.

Solution 1. Check the Blu-ray Player

To solve Blu-ray and Blu-ray player playback issue, first of all let's check the Blu-ray player with below detailed steps:

Step 1. Turn Blu-ray player off, then turn it on, if you still can’t play Blu-ray disc on it, move to step 2.

The Firmware version will appear on the screen. Then follow the instruction to perform the update. If not, contact publisher serve support and get the new firmware for updating.

Solution 3. Check the Blu-ray Disc

After checking Blu-ray player and firmware, if you still can't play Blu-ray disc on Blu-ray player. Maybe you should consider whether your Blu-ray discs are scratched or damaged.

  1. You should also wash the Blu-ray to clean the surface. You can use dish soap and a soft paper towel to dry.
  2. Some optical drives are better than others at reading problem discs.
