The HTC Vive Focus, the first consumer-available standalone headset with six-degrees-of-freedom (6DoF) positional tracking, has officially launched in China. Guide: Rip and Convert 3D Blu-ray Movies to HTC Vive Focus for Playback

NOTE: Anywhere from 30 to 60 GB of hard disk space is needed depending on what you’re ripping. Blu-Rays are big, and we’re going to rip the whole thing to our drive first, so depending on the movie you’re ripping and the quality you want in your final movie file, you’ll need a good amount of space. Here, Windows version Blu-ray ripper taken as example, Mac share the same way except tiny differences on interface.

Step 1. Import 3D Blu-ray movies

Install and run the best 3D Blu-ray to HTC Vive Focus converter, then click "load disc" icon to load your 3D Blu-ray movies to the program. Here, BD/DVD Video_TS folder, ISO/IFO files are supported as well.

Step 2. Select output format

4. Select the eye icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the player, labeled Select Viewing Mode. 
5. Configure the on-screen options around your video format. 
6. Click Done to confirm your changes.

2. Virtual Desktop

While you’ll be paying a premium for Virtual Desktop, the program’s flexibility and feature set will make this an outstanding tool for all types of video playback. Supporting 2D videos, various 3D formats, immersive video playback and even inbuilt YouTube streaming – you’ll get a wide range of options to play videos.

To get started with the application, start the program while your video content is open on your desktop. A window will also appear on-screen after starting Virtual Desktop, with some further options to tweak your experience.
